In mid-February, the Western media reported that French President Emmanuel Macron had postponed his trip to Ukraine planned for mid-February 2024. No official reason was given, but Macron instead received the Ukrainian head of state in Paris. According to France 24, the visit was cancelled because of a plot to assassinate Macron in Ukraine. However, this is not true. France 24 said that they had no such report, nor is there any on their website.
