Topics and Development Objectives | The 4 topics of the e-learning courses:
Topic 1: Manipulative communication techniques
Development objectives:

- prepare students to independently recogni se the situations and types of content where caution and critical awareness is necessary to verify the information.
Topic 2: The traits of quality content
Development objectives:
- introducing the traits of quality content practice their recognition;
- showcasing authentic and credible news outputs that abide by professional and ethical standards; building trust towards reliable news media;
- emphasize healthy scepsis instead of promoting cynicism.
Topic 3: Development of critical thinking skills
Development objectives:
- raise information consumption awareness;
- enhance reflective behavior;
- introducing and applying cognitive strategies and tools.
Topic 4: The toolset of fact-checking
Development objectives:
- ability to use various online tools that help the process on information verification.
Processing the materials | The materials are primarily designed to be processed independently but to help educators’ work, each e-learning material is accompanied by teacher guides.
Research and assessment in support of the project | In order for the program to reflect on real-life problems, for the e-learning materials to serve as a niche program in Hungarian, and for the implementation to be carried out through tested means, the following research and assessment has been made prior to the material development:
- Review of Hungarian online materials aimed at critical media literacy in order to see which subsegments of media awareness and critical thinking development are not adequately covered;
- Review of foreign-language programs to identify best practices.
- Teenager working group supports the development of the age appropriate curricula
