Lakmusz journalists at the GlobalFact in Sarajevo

Last week, journalists of Lakmusz, Eszter Neuberger, Szilvi Német and Blanka Zöldi attended the Global Fact-Checking Summit (GlobalFact) in Sarajevo. It was great to see our international colleagues, share the experience from our anti-disinformation work with the HDMO project and explore future collaborations.

While in Sarajevo, we also presented our EMIF-funded project, which tackled sponsored disinformation in Hungary ahead of the elections. We explained our methodology in a show-and-tell presentation at GlobalFact, and we presented our findings during several roundtable discussions. Here is a summary of one of them: https://point.zastone.ba/eu-elections-what-happened-and-why/

What is more, we even had the possibility to confront the representatives of Meta with our findings, and asked about the companies’ future plans to fight sponsored political disinformation in a more efficient manner.
