Hungarian Version of InVID-WeVerify Verification Plug-in Released by AFP Media Lab

As part of the Lakmusz-HDMO hub, AFP Media lab has released on June 26, 2025 an Hungarian version of the verification plug-in (or Fake News Debunker) known as InVID-WeVerify developed and enhanced by AFP Media lab.

The tool has been created and developed in the EU projects InVID (2016-2018) and WeVerify (2018-2021). Since September 2022, it is further developed and maintained as part of the EU project vera.ai (VERification Assisted by Artificial Intelligence, 2022-2025).

The release of the Hungarian version benefits from the current and upcoming technical updates and improvements of the tools, making it more accessible to journalists, researchers and to anyone working to verify online content, and unveil manipulated images.
