Strengthening Critical AI Literacy in Education
In recent months, the Idea Foundation has actively contributed to advancing critical AI literacy through a series of events. Through conference presentations, educator workshops, and online training sessions, they showcased the methodology and practical applications of the Detekto platform, strengthening the role of media literacy and AI awareness in education.
Participation at the MI – Jógyakorlatok és elméleti kihívások (AI – Best practices and theoretical challenges) media educator’s workshop conference
On 28th November 2025 a short workshop conference was held organized by Hungarian media educators at Veres Pálné School, Budapest. Borbála Timár, representative Idea Foundation presented the pedagogical – methodological background of developing critical AI literacy through the Detekto educational materials as a best practice.

Participation at the Humán tudományok és mesterséges intelligencia III. (Humanities and AI) conference at Eötvös Loránd University
The third conference on the importance of AI was held at the Faculty of Humanities at ELTE. The conference aims to examine the relationship between the humanities and artificial intelligence, especially for faculty members, researchers, doctoral candidates and students. The main topics include philosophical and ethical issues, the application of artificial intelligence in language teaching, creative writing, combating fake news, music and image generation, as well as translation and text analysis. Borbála Timár, representative of Idea Foundation held a presentation with the title: A kritikai mesterségesintelligencia-műveltség fejlesztésének lehetőségei about developing critical AI literacy with the use of Detekto materials.

Online workshop for educators at Budapest Pedagogical Center
The Education Office, within the framework of state public education, offers pedagogical professional services by operating a network of consultants. The task of consultancy is to support the work of teachers and educational institutions.
The aim of the interactive presentation is to introduce the work of Idea Foundation, especially the Detekto online platform to a wide audience of teaching professionals. By presenting the media education approach, also the opportunities to introduce the use of Detekto materials in various educational settings (in terms of subjects, organization models and teaching aims) would be a first step for professionals to use these materials in their own pedagogical practices, also to offer to other educators.

Onsite workshop for educators at Balassi Bálint Primary School, Eger
Our Detekto.hu e-learning curriculum uses the method of discovery learning to guide students through the recognition of false online information and the awareness of the characteristics of quality information. Although the material for 13–16-year-olds is primarily suitable for individual use, we also offer teaching aids that help with classroom implementation (hybrid or flipped classroom). This event took place on March 19, 2026, as part of the Spring Pedagogical Days event of the Eger POK, at the Balassi Bálint Elementary School in Eger. 12 teachers participated in the program, that presented various topics from Detekto to familiarize educators from different fields with the opportunities to involve topics or exercises from the materials.
