Idea Foundation’s teacher training program won a European Media Literacy Award
The Idea Foundation’s teacher training program won a European Media Literacy Award in March 2026.
The Voices Awards, held as part of the Voices Festival, is an international competition that recognizes innovative ideas and programs in the fields of journalism, media freedom, and media literacy.
The festival presents awards in seven categories, recognizing outstanding achievements in various journalistic formats (radio/podcast; press/video/documentary, digital storytelling/social media, comics, photojournalism), as well as in the field of media literacy.
In 2026, the Idea Foundation’s teacher training program was honored in the media literacy category.
Co-funded by the European Union, the Voices Festival aims to celebrate European journalism and media freedom, and creates a forum for the comprehensive presentation of outstanding journalistic achievements and media literacy programs.
The festival’s program also features engaging workshops, panel discussions, film screenings, and exhibitions. Over the course of three days, the event fosters dialogue on media freedom, the place and role of journalism, news production, newsrooms, and news consumers.
